Barb build

Give me some feedback, goin 2HE.

I would be more interested in protection vs armor as a barbarian. Hopefully you will have enough CCs and natural healing to deal with melee damage. Protection is hard to come by.

Swarm fighter is a better investment per point than Lethality in general tree, with a passive 4% per point vs 3.5%, plus it gives you another ability(albeit a PvE one). I like charage abilities, so I usually get 1 point into blitz, if you find you don't need them, feel free to ignore this.

Blood fury lowers your blood rage stack, which is actually good so you can build it to 15, activate it to move it down to 10, then build to 15 again. If I understand it correctly, you can re-heal the 10-15 stacks over and over again that way. You might have another way to lower this - not sure haven't played my barb since the revamp.

Victorious build.
I went armor over protection in general. arcande marauder (fixed) helps you vs a caster. The +25% speed buff helps you run away or close the gap. Barb close to caster=dead caster


Reverse swing is a must +36% (off top of head) for 15secs is great. All all staggering blows have seperate cool downs which means you can keep the +36% damage buff up 100% of the time.


All the CC's and you can Knock back the heavies. All the CC breakers with the max cool downs on them. I rock on this build. Wish I could play it more, but they always need me on my shammy for heals.


PVP use Butcher 8,9 mostly because of short time to cast. X if your dominating and can aford the longer animation.


Use the 2nd rank of your KB for medium armors and down, and 4th rank for the heavies. Learn what each classes Knock back and hit your excellent balance.

Why did you go with lethality vs swarm fighter? Swarm fighter is 4% per point, lethality is 3.5% per point.

Is there some difference that isn't shown?

Also, I think you are talking about arcane marauder, not swarm fighter, in your above post.

swarm fighter is when their minions hit you after you taunt them. So if no minion is hitting you u dont get the % boost. With Leathality you always have that % boost.
arcande marauder is the skill I was talking about. Miss typed.

I have both in my build. Are you sure you only get the 4% with minions vic? It says it's passive.

im pretty sure its only minions. 99.9% so there is that .1% im wrong

yeah when the move is activated you get your % boost but do not have it all the time % damage boost.

If u activate it without minions do you still get the passive boost? Pretty much like having Armageddon falls with 2HE if so.

I have always heard differently... pretty sure the feat even says its a passive buff which means even when its not activated you get additional effects from the feat when you activate it though.

the last sentence stats "This feat also passively increases the damage a barbarian inflicts." This is a seperate sentance and should therefore imply that the feat always increase the barbs damage weather it is active or there are minions around. It is easy to test and i will do so once i get home. But if you read the feat you are wrong vic. Of course this would not be the first time a Feat in AoC did not behave the way it was writen.

well according to this post its only pve minions not caster minions. I get most info from EU forums because they are willing to help and not do the "lol noobz you dont know"

I'm working towards another report, this will include a minor amount of suggestions, but will mostly contain bug reports.
I think that there is still some bugs with our class, not much i suppose.
I'm not really sure about what bugs our class have, since i haven't been fighting much with my barb, just a run through BRC each week and some PvP now and then, and this RP of course.
So far i picked up a suggestion from the other report thread;

-Taunt caster pets as minions, of course, giving it usability in PvP aswell.
Hope to see some bad stuff about barbs, so they can be the good stuff.

that post is refering to that taunt ability granted by the swarm fighter feat; not the passive damage boost granted.

but wouldnt it be deemed good in PVP even if it gave you passive DPS buff and not the taunt ability? I would call it broken because it doesnt work in PVP, not that its not viable for PVP.
I think its only a PVE. Try it at test live. I havent seen a lvl 80 2h build with swarm fighter in it.

i just refeated my barb. I had 111.8 dps before i put any points in swarm fighter. after one point i had 114.# fully feated i have 124.7 dps. Of course it works in PvP all feat buffs like that do.

Vic, it pains me to ask, but when is the next exo t3 raid? If the invite still stands I'd at least like to see what it looks like on my barb. Might even get a piece of gear if I'm lucky.

Looks like Joe did the real investigation work, but we cam try it fighting someone to see if it drops.

I would do a T3 on my DT.

I am still waiting for us to 5 man yak.

they not letting any one in t3 because its progression fights. Only a few people non guild they are but they are in ROC. Sarduth/Bullseye and Zort because those two were on Test live with us as were trying to learn the fight.
Since T3 opened up we have had an influx of old members coming back about 6pm-12pm est we have about 30-40 folks online. I could get you into T2 but T3 probably not because he (raid leader) wants damn near full T2 toons, most of which exo is and inhouse due to strats leaking out.
T3 is hot!
@ Joe. I might have to do a respec and see if I can incorporate that into my build for the extra +20% vs 17%. Thanks for info.

I'm up for a possible t2, I got quest rewards that would be better than my current crap.

think this is what im gonna end up going for. Mostly aiming for pvp with this build, obviously

Didnt do devastation because you can waste a crit on a white hit +133 damage off white hit. If it was for combos only I would be all for it, maybe
insanity because in massive PVP/mini/siege you dont get to 15. I only had that because wanted the extra 700 HP. Now that they took that away I wont be sacrificing my healing regin for some extra damage.

went from 353 to 380.8 DPS. And still missing 3 pieces of T2 loot. Chest belt wrist

nice my sin is sitting around 360 with shitty 70 gear on.
