A new class revealed:The Smuggler

nice. So far the classes are taken from SWG. I hope they go that route. It was release with 32 classes! So much diversity.

if you look at the class page it looks like 8 classes total 4 republic and 4 sith. Which is fine with me other wise you end up with alot of over laping classes.

From the E3 interviews it sounded like Bioware was trying to make each class have alternate paths, making different experiences for the same archetype. You can be an evil smuggler of the republic, which should be a different 'story' (no idea about gameplay and abilities) than a good smuggler. I like the idea of more classes like Vic, but I think they're relying on 'how' you play your class to give that variety.

Plus, it's bioware, they're too smart to give you the whole deal on the day of the release. They'll do multiple money making expansions like WoW. I'm sure they're going out of their way to be NOTHING like SWG.

Smuggler class looks sucky to me.

It can probably be inferred that 1 will be jedi/force user and the other will be sith/force user.

Anyone take a guess what the other sith class will be?

one thing swg had was social professions. Some people were cooks, entertainers (dancer/musican), Merchant, Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Archiectech. As you can see if you wanted an weapon or house in game, someone had to craft it. Seldom did world drops happen that were game breakers. Kept everything in balance.

Ghanger is the best version of crotchity a 70 year old can get. But given that, he's probably still staring in awe at how "The TV is moving! I'm controlling it!"

But to answer your quetion Ghangar about a release date for Star wars, i have been watch the fourms and the website and there as been no news of when the game well come out. I would not expected to see the game intell 2011 at the latest. But what I am hearing is that Bioware/Lucasarts well have a big announcement at comic-con this year. So they might (I mean a big might) share the info of the release date there.

the 40k mmo is schedule for 2012 so i hope starwars is before that. Cause well space marines > then jedi.

Really I hope it better then Warhammer fantasy mmo. Sorry man Space marines < then Jedi/Sith.

I think a typical Space marine would be able to take out a typical jedi.

Given melee only, it depends if power weapons can parry a lightsaber - I am not sure on the ruling of that. Even then, I could see the jedi ripping off an arm or something and the space marine charges ahead and punches through the jedi chest to get to the gooey filling.

Jedi were able to be killed by normal humans at times. Space marines aren't really - they would just laugh at them.

Ranged, I think the space marine would dominate. Force Choke wouldn't work on them. Lightning would probably be handled by the armor.

You can only parry so many bolter shots before you make a mistake.

It would be neat to be able to cross-platform MMOs against each other, just for S&Gs.
