Eve is the biggest piece of overrated shit; wow is better. It's all gear+AA grind and none of the fatalities.

I think AA grind is AoC only unless wow has added it. I still hate wow.

Didn't mean it literally, but as a close comparison to the feat mechanics. It's like me pounding your ass or Jackie using a strap on to pound your ass: different but same.

It's not THAT bad. Unfortunately right now all other options are crap and I'm stuck with Eve.

So did we come to a consensus on FF? That game looks like shit, but I will concede if you guys are chokobo humpers.

i dont think their is a consensus on anything yet. But FF is most likely my next MMO I am just hoping it can keep me entertained until swtor/diablo/40k releases. I still have my AoC Account, but have been unable to talk myself into playing.

I have a contact on my MSN list who is a beta tester for the new FF, I'll try to get some info out of him. A video would be nice too.

I don't think I really want to play FF. I never really liked the first FF online(Final Fantasy 11). Plus I don't want to go out and buy the game and you guys only play it for like a week.

sounds like a plus for me. Its not like mod ever plays for more then about a month anyway.

You guys do know that there is no PvP in FF right?

Aw come on, give him a break.

I feel Sean prefers PvE in this kind of games and thats why SW:ToR will *hopefully* be a good game for us (good mix of PvP and PvE). I too like PvE when it's well executed, as it bring people to work together towards a goal, in a laid-back environement, without the big competition going on.

As for FF, I too would probably not play it if I was alone choosing. I never liked the FF series. The thing is, I haven't see enough of the game to make a valid choice yet. It will have to have some good gameplay with a fun environement in order to convert me to it.

Is there any PvP in FF online?

Edit: Oh lol, I guess that takes care of this question.

Look at my post above. And I do like PvP. I would not have played AOC as long as I did.

while that is very possiable and most probable, i have not see anything that says their is or is not. either way what sean plans to plan honestly has no effect on what i will be playing, since he never sticks with us anyway.

Just wondering what you mean by me planing something? And I am sorry that I have loads of school work to do and other real life obligations. I try to be on when I can. And I am just waiting for someone to find a good mmo we all can play together. And I really don't think you guys well like FF, but I could be wrong.

Still seems kinda slow, but the guy not knowing what he's doing is not helping. The other guy (Phoenix) seemed to have got a bit more used to it at the end as he was hitting once every sec or so.

Ok so would anyone be welling to try Dark age of camelot or Lineage 2. Both have good PvP I hear. Dark Age of camelot as RvR. And Both have a 14-day trial to try them out. One problem is that they are old games. I think camelot is like 5-6 year old. I don't know how old Lineage 2 is but it's old. But if you guys are welling to try them out I well. But for all I know these games could suck.

So played Dark age of camelot for like 5 min. and quit playing it. The game sucks. The game is to old for me.

jumping into them now is stupid. lineage 2 never took off like lineage 1 and they are both well past their prime.

They used to have a great system for their time, but now that we've all played games with better controls and gameplay, we'll surely be disapointed by those older games.

I'm currently testing Fantasy Earth Zero, a F2P MMO on the side. So far this is what I can tell you :

The Good :
- You actually have to aim your shots and habilities to hit stuff. For example, as a Warrior, you can make a leap and do a Fire dmg AoE, so you need to aim and jump near your targets to hit them. Archers need to aim their arrows and mages their spells.
- There is a tutorial that will take you 45-60mins to complete and will bring you to lvl16 and give you some gear.
- The game revolves around 5 Factions fighting for territories on the World Map. So, you level doing PvP. (You can grind mobs, but it sucks)
- The community seems pretty nice. Not a lot of bitching. (Thats only from what I've seen so far)

The Bad :
- Very bad visuals. ( Old stuff )
- Takes some times to get used to the way the character moves. ( Pressing once will make him make a full step, not just advance him from 1 inch. You can jump pretty high and far. )
- Leveling up past 16 is pretty long.
- I don't feel there is a whole lot to keep one entertained once you get tired of the gameplay / fighting in Wars.

The Ugly :
- Joe in a french maid outfit.
