RotGS : New Characters

Hey there,

Anyone planning on leveling a new character to check out the new zones that will be available in the new expansion?

I was thinking about leveling a Guardian after I'm done with my Bear.

I will definately be leveling a soldier (probably guardian) as a khitai race. I definately think you'll want your first experience in the zone to be on an 80, though. There will be a shit ton of people and I think the zone is for varying levels iirc. I want to get to the Asian armor and have a shot at finishing the quests personally. I'm just hoping the gear isn't entirely raid based.

As I was typing this I realized how dumb an Asian soldier sounds over Cimmerians. Hmm. Here's hoping they make something resembling a naginata to justify it.

Someone should level a ranger with our soldiers. I'd say a pom too, but Khitai can't be poms.

I could be talked into a sin for the 24 sin initiative...

Yep, we'll just need to recruit 20 more 80 sin to go along with this... =/

On the other hand, 5 sin and a ranger could be a good start.

I just started a new conqueror I was planning on getting to 80, but I can put it off until RotG and do it with you guys.

Joe, if you go talisman(DPS) spec DT, I have most of the talismans you can buy learned already. They are cheap right now anyway though.

Weeping bauble is still the best at 68+ until you can get talisman of death/eye of zath/dragon's luck, anyway. Don't have that one yet.

If i go DT i will most likely be a DPS spec whatever that is.

Khitai can't be pom or tos, and not sure on BS. I know demonlord doesn't have an alt, as he just now is making 80. I don't know how into raising an alt he'll be, but we can always ask.

Also going to need guild invites to my toons. Im leaving exo. I transfered Salvation to Tyranny couple days ago to start PVPing more and getting boris. Up to 406 tokens in one weekend!

Of course I told you guys before exo.

also the focus when xpacs go lives will be advance thru the AA systems, since you can not start gaining AA xp till your lvl 80.

How come you're leaving Exo, just curious of the reason? Anything more than they don't pvp enough?

I have one big requirement; you have to be willing to lead atleast 1 brc raid sweep a week; our 80s and the rest will be pugs. I have done w3 a few times and it is very puggable with the proper leadership. Currently we dont have anyone who is ready to lead those 3 raids. So if you are willing to do that you will have my vote.


also I attacked an exo in emountains the other day. He informed my 59 it was a big mistake; i giggled. Later while we were slaughtering him and his friends (3 of us) an exo poped up (i think he was the correction to my "mistake") and promptly died.

that sums it up. At this point my focus is on PVP mostly, throw a raid here and there to spice things up. Fact of the matter is, if you want gear past pvp 5 you will need to do boris. You can get that weak shit from mini game tokens only but that like drinking water, when you want beer.

Anyway i switched sal to tyranny. I went there with 46 token to my name, now I have 406 from a weekend of bori and pvp.


Had exo made a bigger commitment to Bori I would of stayed. They want to focus more on raiding and getting geared out, I understand and respect that. But my version of geared out is getting the bori set.

PVP 6, 40% with 406 tokens Im loving this server right now for pvp.

I am happy with most of your answers. How much time are you planning to spend on tryanny vs cimmeria?

as for a BRC schedule we will pick a day that fits most peoples schedule and stick to that day every week if possiable.

We are hoping to work with a few other guilds and start hitting bori atleast once a week if not more often. We currently take small groups in there but all we can really accomplish is a few kills and some harassment, before lif forms up and starts fighting back.

It pisses me off that none of the larger guilds are challenging lifs hold over bori, and as soon as we have the numbers we will start giving them shit.

How can they have an asian inspired race without dual-wielding 1he/1hb? WTF.

EDIT: Only 2he/2hb is HoX, too. No Big Naginata either.

Why no big naginata? It's a polearm weapon and guard is playable...

since I want to do the low lvl quest in the new zone I will be lvling a guard. I really wanted to lvl a tos, but its not playable to the new race. GHEY
