I wanted to tell you that I'm now lvl 15 with my warrior, and 1 bubble and a half away from 16. I gave a shot at the Dungeon Finder and I have to tell you I'm pretty impressed with it. It popped me a dungeon 2sec after clicking and I had a group up and running. It took us about 15mins to kill the first boss of RFC, then they all left, but I still made half a level just from that.

I suggest we run a couple of those to get some lvls and items and then go have some fun in PvP!

well if we can get kimi, sean, wess, and me all on at one time i want to try power leveling. 3 of the above have high lvl DKs one of the above has a high lvl mage. 2 dks and that mage should be able to handle some of the higher level (50-60) dungeons which i am hoping would be great xp for the lvl 15 warrior. I was reading some shit on power leveling in wow and appearentyl its normaly done using a 70 to run a grop 3 or 4 + people thru dungeons. at 3 or 4 people not sure which their is suppose to be an xp bonus.

Saturday i ran wes through wailing caverns and rfc with my 70 the xp wasnt very good about 34 a kill but if we turn up the lvl of the dungeon it should work.

I've been thinking, how many of you have high lvl toons btw? What lvl are the toons that you would be playing if you were alone?

all 3 of us have them. I have a lvl 70 DK and 55 Hunter i play around with when noone else is on. But if the power leveling works we can get you up to the 50 bracket pretty quick. The PVP is much better in the higher brackets and there is a lot more of it.

Would you be happy happy if I were to buy the expansions and start a DK to play with you? I feel I'm pretty much holding everyone up with my vanilla WoW since I can't join on the new high lvl content.

It would be cool to play at higher levels, but I'm with Joe: I can't in good conscience ask you to buy $80 worth of wow. I could see some more dabbling in 2011 possibly, but that's not a given.

Loving this DK so far. After putting my 49pts in, I do 1.3k crits with my Heart Strike pretty often.

I'm still rockin the starter gear for DKs which I know could be half the problem, but I'm looking for a little more survivability. I feel like I do good damage but a good rogue or shaman can just eat my lunch. Do we have any feats or abilities beyond the one strike that gives minor health or the sacrifice blood rune ability that up our survivability? There a bubble I'm overlooking or anything?

there is a anti magic bubble deep in the unholy tree but even unholy specced DKs dont normaly spec it. your blood stance heals you based on damage you deal i think its 4%. your specc might need a litt help as well.

I think if i was blood specced i would run this build its more of a hybird blood/unholy
http://www.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xml?cid=6&tal=0325021033333310030013100000005000000000000000000000000002050303310232100000100000000000

but you have blood strike, rune tap, vendetta(passive), mark of blood, blood worms(passive), vampiric blood, death coil, and blood presence all which give health. It also lets your summoned zombie remain out as a pet (like a hunters pet). You could remove the 5 points from the frost tree and drop them into something else with out hurting the build much.

DISCLAIMER: I havent tested this build at all.

Noxs (60 DK)

This is what I'm running at the moment. You can also browse around and see I'm using the same gear you are.

This is a full Blood spec, I intend to go get some other small but nice stuff in the other trees, but as you can see, I really dropped a lot of points in there because there are a lot of nice things I like.

First of all I took pretty much every additionnal clickables in the Blood tree for the simple reason they add tools to the arsenal.

Rune Tap is a nice way to increase your life in mid-fight (gives me 1k hp as of now). It's also on a 30sec CD so you can pop that quite often.

I took Spell Deflection since it's aways nice to reduce those hardcore mage DPS, 20% chance of reducing damage by close to half is interesting.

I left Vendetta alone for the simple fact that it's a waste of points for what it give. ( 3pts for 6% hp if you do the killing blow... )

I took Mark for Blood instead since it's good against anyone that drops a lot of quick bombs like a Rogue. ( Each time he its you, you gain 4% HP ).

Hysteria is pretty good if you have to drop the life on somebody (combined with the racial ability it rocks). Help a lot if you have a healer to give you a little heal after the fight as you'll be down 30% HP by the end of the effect.

I didn't pick Blood Worms because I heard they don't do much damage, and mostly because they'll get killed at the first AoE dmg there is.

Vampiric Blood is a real life saver. Put your 2 curses on the target, pop VB, and drop some chain Death Strikes. You'll be healing yourself like a BOSS. Helps to have Death Rune Mastery to keep chaining!

The rest you can surely see why I picked them. Might of Mograine, Improved Death Strike, Blood Gorged (eventually), etc... They all are really good talents.

Here's what I came up with:
Wes DK Build

It's an 80 PvP build; major drawbacks are no vampiric blood and 15% loss to critical damage of heart strike. Those are tough losses, but I add a permanent pet, a slow CC to plague strike, spam death grip, increased base damage from shadow damage, and a little anti-CC.

personally i think spam death grip is a waste. if you can put that point into one of the tough losses you will be better off.

after looking at your build. its complete fail.

morbidity and epidemic are must takes if you are unholy spec at all. you are giving up alot of by speccing so deep into the unholy tree you better make those points count. plus you specced into unholy blight which is dps based off your death coil but then skipped the feat that would up that dps. also 5% dodge is not better then making your diseases stick around longer.

I cant really comment on the blood side of your build, but you skipped most of the best/important unholy feats.

i redid your unholy side there are 2 points left you can put were ever. but this is what it should look like base.
my verison of wes dk

You're right about the dodge, and with spam death grip I think it's a two pointer, so maybe one point could be moved out. I'm on my phone and can't check the death coil feat I took but I thought it had a boost to plague strike or something else as well. Most of the things I avoided in the unholy tree were abilities that aren't pertinent to the blood rotation...but maybe that rotation would significantly change with going hybrid. I assume it won't other than maybe working in death coil more because I'm losing rune sword.

Do you know if "on a pale horse" still gives you the fear/stun reduction if you're not mounted? I would remove it from my build if it's only when mounted.
