| 1. This speeds up zoning significantly, once it has all been loaded. Drastic change for me.

/setoption SplashScreenFadeInTime 1.0
/setoption SplashScreenFadeOutTime 1.0
2. This supposedly speeds load times YMMV
Delete shader.cache.local in your AoC folder. Open the game to where you log in(asks for username/password). There should be another shader.cache.local fine in your AoC folder.
Right click it, choose properties, and check "read only"
To change it back, simply uncheck "read only"
3. Increase throughput from hard drives
If you have two harddrives, try installing age on conan on the hard drive that does not have your windows install. | |

| AoC Quick Start A few nice tweaks here, lets you skip intro movies, check processor affinity on the fly, and tweak some other things to increase framerate. You can also set it to skip verification of files/update as well. AoC Quick Start | |
