| Ok, I finally got to watch the video. My thoughts:
-This is going to be extremely fun to play with on multiplayer. -It immediately reminded me of GoW2, so I hope they can match a similar gutteral storyline and cut scenes. The gameplay looked real similar. -I was dissapointed it was all against orc foes. I'm just now delving into the lore, but are orcs really that big of a problem in 40k? Some of the bad guys I don't know about that Joe has mentioned seemed way cooler to potentially see, and at the very least I think chaos foes would have been a better choice. I think the orc choice was to draw a WoW crowd, which is gay. -I watched the dark millenium online trailer afterwards, which I'm more pumped about than this game. I don't like that everything seems to be FPS, but still looks fun. Any idea when that drops?
Fuck Krig, since he's lessening the co-op mode before the game has even dropped.

| orcs are a huge threat to the imperium. There numbers are uncountable. They truely live for war and nothing else. There is a lot of diversity amongst the greenskins. gretchins are similar to goblins ie weak but attack by the thousands, normal orcs are like tuff humans, nobs are similar to space marines in power, and warbosses are just down right badass.
but I agree they are not as cool as some of the other races.

| I can see how their numbers are a problem in a fantasy style sense, but for the imperium in 40k? How r they even intelligent enough to have developed technology to remain competitive?
Forgiving those things, do they really compare to say Abaddon and the black legion (one of the few I know about at this point)?

They actually steal it, or salvage it.

| like simon said they steal the technology, they also have "psychic" capabailities that help their crude designs work. Really there is no limit to a orcs power other than his lifespan, most are killed by war or a fellow orc before becoming to strong, but there are a few that have killed greater deamons.
this game is a good example of them attempting to steal tech. They are trying to steal one of the imperiums greatest and most potent weapons, a warlord titan, IE the Des Ires(sp) (the big ass titan from the horus novels).
Also orcs are not unwilling to commit to chaos and its mutations

| Even if you kill an orc, unless you incinerate the body, it will end up turning into a fungal growth and send spores out. Spores can keep for long periods/lying dormant and willl pop up in areas normally thought free from orcish infestation. Small infestations grow quickly and can quickly overwhelm a planet.
Left unchecked on said planet, orcs will multiply and eventually a warboss will grow, forming a waaaaagh!!!!!!!!
then its game on. | |

If those are genetically enhanced sting rays like in deep blue sea, then count me in. Otherwise, Netflix.

| Sony pulled some deuchebag moves with Gen2 PS3. Had I known about it, I'd have gotten an Xbox instead.
First, they blocked the usage of the GFX card when using Ubuntu.
Then they dropped the ability to install another OS (like Ubuntu) - Did with Gen 1 via updates; I don't use this feature really, I just really liked the idea of it.
*They also dropped the PS2 game support.* - I have mostly PS2 games - In fact IIRC I only have 1 PS3 game - FFXIV - all other games are PS2.
The first gen has an issue with overheating which cooked my first PS3. (Yes, I bought one to replace it) Sony charges 150$ to replace/fix it. You can get it done for ~80 from different companies, but there is no guarantee how long it will last.
Does Xbox live cost money?

| I will throw Sony a bone and say they have improved their online interface ten fold, but xbox is still better. Sony's primary objective with their online is more similar to apple t.v. In that the purpose is more as a home multimedia hub, so the Netflix and browsing got a great overhaul. The emphasis on xbox live has, and is still, online gameplay. You can do similar things on both (Netflix) but the player to player hub of communications is far superior on xbox, and the multimedia supports begin and end with enhancing your experience of the actual video game with bells and whistles along the way. PS3 is free and that's saying something, but it just depends on what u want out of your console. I want gaming as the priority, personally. | |

| the multimedia side of xbox is fanstatic. I dont know what ps3 offers that xbox doesnt. I have netflix, on demand movies, full access to movies and music on my pc, ESPN, zune, as well as other options i never use. All of the above have a easy to use and fast interfaces. I believe they are even working on a cable style tv option. | |
