Edit: yeah, lotr is out for me too... added a new game too.

Lotr was terrible. I didn't even make it to the pvp. Wow is a better polished version of the same thing.

Aika seems to play pretty much like a traditional MMO. I still think it could be the most interresting in the list you posted, although it seems to be a Korean version of WoW.

Fallen Earth is said to have a nice crafting system, but the combat sucks.

Vanguard is supposed to have improved a lot since release, but there is a lack of players so we would need to all play it to be able to do the group stuff / big fun instances.

RF is a NO for me. I cannot stand the website banner so...

RF is possiably the largest grind fest on the web
I beta tested fallen earth it was horriable
Vanguard might be interesting but it is a old game with a low population.
aika is just more asian grind

if i were to play any of the 4 it would be vanguard.

Here's a couple of suggestions (not all MMOs) :

DDO

League of Legends ( Pretty much like Heroes of Newerth, but free. I would absolutely love if you guys would give this type of game a second chance, since you did not even knew what you were doing or needed to be doing the 1st time. You gotta wait for me to teach you the basics! )

Gears of War 2

Jedi Knight II (Laight-Saibars Dualz... Lolz :3)

Thats fun I think I have Jedi knight 2. But it's a Xbox 1 game right?

I know Joe, mod, and I have GoW2 for xbox. Down to play whenever.

Guild wars two is still down the road a bit.

We talked about DDO last night. I'm up for trying it, but apparently to do a dungeon worth a shit you have to pay. I'm not paying for DDO.

I'd try Jedi 2 because I liked it back in the day and there's Jedi. But how many people are playing that still? Probably 30 guys since launch.

While i am up for any of the above Xbox games arent going to feel the niche we are looking for... What is jedi II i will check it out.

I thikn we could have alot of fun in neverwinter nighst 2 with a private server. i am looking into the cost of hosting one, people whould have to buy the game but we could open it up to anyone on the internet as well as our selves and create our own rule sets monsters adventures xp gain pretty much our own game. It does play alot like the baulder gate games. Is this something anyone has any interest in? I would need alot of help setting and maintaing the game world as well. Krig i think this is somehting you peek should would love. but anyone else that is interested would be able to contribute.

I know for trying a bit that it's a hard task to build a new module from the ground up. It could be fun to make it as we like it to be though.

One alternative if we get depressed with all this work is to find one we like and open a server with it running, or simply joining a PW already running.

so far the only server hosting service i have found would be about $160US a month. I am still looking, Simons suggestion of joining someone elses sever might be a good idea.

Dasaria (PW) could be something to try.

Otherwise right now I'm thinking about giving Vanguard's trial a shot to see how it plays and what it has to offer.

Was Dragon Age a bust? I played nwn I and I didn't like what WotC did with D&D system. Dragon Age was the spiritual successor to baldur's gate series, right?

I'm pretty sure I've found a game that I would want to play even if we weren't actively searching for another game. Game Informer's E3 review said it was the closest thing to a God of War MMO. Customizeable gear, and action/playform style combo system for gameplay.

Release date is fourth quarter of 2010 (which will probably be pushed back), and it's currently in closed beta (which I signed up for). I know it's not immediate, but it looks sustainable for the stretch of q4 2010 to q4 2011. Randy, please gauge interest of the steady APB players and encourage them to weigh in on the forums.

Closed Beta sign ups end July 19th, so hurry if you have any interest.

Dragon Age is a good Single player game but that is it.

NWN2 is about as 3.5 as any DnD video game is going to get. of the baulder gate style games nwn2 is my favorite since the orginal bg

I think I posted something about vindictus some where in this thread but anyways I believe I signed up for the beta as well. So I might be interested in playing it.

on a side note i had fun in NWN2 last night. Killed mod about 5 minutes into the game because he stole loot from me, didnt get my loot back but i did get his ear.

Game looks good. I registered for beta.

Coming out tomorrow ( Monday, July 19th ).
