| Can't remember which bow we were talking about on xbox the other night, might have been a crossbow because I remember a 6 second load time being talked about. If it's crossbow I still need to search through vaults, but if it's long bow:
You reach into your harness to load the forester's bow with a broad-barbed arrow. Roundtime 3 sec.
That was sissaphus with less than 100 ranks of longbow.

| There are about 4 regular 6/7 crossbows IIRC. The more common was a 7/8 forrester's, which will load at 6/7 with requirements. I bought mine for 75 plat back when that was a lot. Probably 1000s now, if the economy hasn't changed.
EDIT: //BAD INFO 3/4 forrester's I think is pretty standard, available at trader's special shop.//BAD INFO END.
forrester's longbow was 2/3 - as fast as standard shortbow, but not machine gun fast like 1/2 nisha. <3 nisha

| they were talking about crossbows, the base load time is 6/7 and can be reduced more with stats and skills. I doubt you have one. They were old and rare before you ever started playing DR. The bow you have is a standard foresters long bow, and yours looks like the standard one. | |

| The current forrester's crossobw is 8/9, at least it was when I quit playing.
There were 2/3 forrester's longbows too.

| The one I posted is 2/3. The arrow came from a harness. | |

| the 2/3 forester is a standard forester. its one second faster then a normal longbow, i am pretty sure the old forester longbows were capable of 1 sec loadtimes. | |

that one I actually disagree with, think normal forester's bow is 3/4.

that one I actually disagree with, think normal forester's bow is 3/4. a normal longbow is 3/4 so what would be special about a forester bow then? the reason people buy forester bows is because they are a second faster to load, the old ones were even faster. Crossbow load times from Elanthipedia - Code:
-
Load Times Load times are always stated as two numbers, such as 6/7, 7/8, 8/9, 9/10, or 10/11. The first number denotes the number of seconds of load time if the projectile is being held in the hand while loading. The second number denotes the amount of time in seconds to load if the projectile is coming from a container.
10/11: The slightly rusty crossbow mounted with a ironwood goat's foot cocking handle from the Museum of Imperial History has a 10/11 load time. It also compares as more suited to strength than the standard store-bought light crossbow with a 9/10 load time.
9/10: The standard store-bought light crossbow has a 9/10 load time.
8/9: The standard forester's crossbow has an 8/9 load time as do many other crossbows. The 8/9 is so common now that it is considered the new standard and almost nobody uses a 9/10 crossbow.
7/8: A small number of forester light crossbows (perhaps a few hundred) were sold soon after forester's crossbows were introduced into the Crossing Trader shop. A fair number still exist and sell for thousands of platinum each.
6/7: An extremely small number of forester's crossbows were sold with 6/7 round times when originally introduced into the Crossing Trader shop in 1997. All following stock was quickly adjusted upward. Currently only two 6/7 light crossbows are known to exist and they have both been altered. One was altered by Nishu, then sold to Kraelyst circa 2001, then sold in September 2007 from Kraelyst to Coupe for 4,200pK: an ironwood-reinforced forester's crossbow strung with darkened spidersilk and wrapped in ripped zombie skins. The other has a camoflouged Ranger type description, owner unknown. granted that is not the bow we are talking about but the forester bow (the longbow version) followed the same pattern so a standard bow is 3/4 a standard forester would be 2/3 a truely old forester would be 1/2. all of those RTs can be reduced with appropriate stats and skill by certain guilds(maybe all guilds I cant remember for sure)
